Starhush Privacy Policy

1. About this app

Starhush is an app for relaxing before sleep by connecting constellations and learning about them. The breathing pace is only a comfort guide. It is not a medical device and does not replace diagnosis or treatment of sleep disorders.

2. Accounts and personal data

This app has no sign-up or login and does not collect names, email addresses or any other personally identifying information.

3. What is saved

Only your language and sound settings and your collected constellations with their dates are stored on the device, and nothing is sent elsewhere. You can clear them anytime in Settings, and they are removed when you delete the app.

4. Advertising

Ads appear in only three places: a full-screen ad once a night when you first start tonight's constellation, a banner at the bottom of My Sky, and a rewarded ad that plays only when you choose it (one more constellation tonight). There are no ads while connecting stars or while viewing constellations and stories. Ads are provided through Google AdMob, which may collect advertising identifiers and device information to deliver ads and prevent fraud. See Google's privacy policy for details.

5. In-app purchases

This app has no paid features or in-app purchases.

6. Star data sources

Constellation lines and star positions: d3-celestial (Olaf Frohn, BSD license). Star distances and colors: HYG Database v4.1 (David Nash, astronexus.com, CC BY-SA 4.0). The distance file adapted for this app is published under the same license. The constellation stories were newly written for this app based on well-known myths and old records.

7. Sound

The background music and sound effects are synthesized by the app itself. New constellation reminders are scheduled on the device only if you allow them, and nothing is sent elsewhere.

8. Contact

9. Effective date

This notice applies from October 1, 2026.

Personalized ads: if you prefer not to receive them, decline the tracking request shown at first launch, or change it any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. The app works the same either way. See the Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
